In business we all have competitors but what do you do to make sure that yours stands out above the rest? This is a question I posed on Twitter recently and most people came back with the answer ‘Customer Service’. Now I do believe that customer service should be high up on your list in any business but I think the main answer is your branding. Having a strong brand that sells your business and stengthens it is very important as people will recognise your brand more and more which then in turn makes your business more credible and builds trust between you and your customers.

So here are a few top tips to help your business stand out;

1.) Make sure you have a logo that reflects the business and your personality. Think of colours and what they mean and how they are perceived by others. Make sure your logo reflects your industry and what you deliver.

2.) Wherever you are marketing yourself make sure that your logo, branding and colour schemes are constistenly used on all platforms. I see many businesses who have a different FB header to their Twitter header and so on. This is just confusing your potential customers of who and what your business is.

3.) Be true to your brand! Customers won’ return to you or refer you if you don’t deliver on your brand promise.
